Eric Eriston Winarto is a Swiss nationality artist living and working in Geneva since 1995 and he was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Friday at 1 August 1980 the moment when his indonesian parents, Raden Bagus Winarto Projowiryono and Abinita Dinawieta Lahallo, half China and half Indonesia, were sent for a diplomatic mission representing Indonesia Embassy before four years at Ankara in 1986 with his brother Evin Elvino and two sisters Evania Eriska, Ednasia Eskina and Geneva six years since year 1995. Then in year 2000 Eric Eriston Winarto dicided to stay in Geneva and persued his formation and graduated in French language at Cycle d'Orientation du Renard in 1995, College Sismondi, between 1996 - 2000, and the University of Art and Design, HEAD, between 2000 - 2006, when his parents went to Buenos Aires for the last mission in the Embassy. Claude Sandoz was his professor in the painting section and it is at that moment at the University of Art and Design, HEAD in Geneva, he started to meet several renowned and famous artist such H.R. Giger and guest artists such Claudia & Julia Mueller, Tony Morgan, gallerists such Charlotte Moser, Gianfranco Schiavano, collectors such Charlotte & Gérard Moser, curators such Eric Corne, Muriel Enjalran, Stefan Banz in the school. Working together with the Professor Marino Buscaglia since 1998 he then meet and persued a friendship with Marie-Madelaine and Roman Opalka, a painter from Poland and France, until his last days. Roman Opalka had a very great influence on Eric Eriston Winarto creation and Red House a big painting created in 2005 now in a private collection was one of the excellent proove that opened his career to a bigger opportunity. Marie-Madeleine Opalka introduced Eric to the European art world where he meet The Uecker Familly and his sister Rotraut Uecker who was Yves Klein wife and he was the very known artist created the blue monochromed painting, he meet the french artist Orlan, the collector Anna & Gerhard Lenz, the galerist Michela Rizzo where he had a group show with Tony Cragg, Lawrence Carroll, Richard Nonas, Antonio Riello, the curator Yves Sabourin, Philippe Piguet and among others. Charlotte Moser Gallery was his first represented gallery with a solo show held in 2006 in Geneva where then he meet Norbert Bisky, Peter Saul, Stefan Hirsig, James Rielly, Tony Matelli, David Scher, Daniel Schlier, Luisa Rabbia, Xie Lei, Ida Tursic & Wilfried Mille, Vinogradov & Duborsarsky, AES+F Group and among others. Eric Eriston Winarto nows persue several exhibitions in different museums and galeries in different countries. Since the very young age he started collecting art and in todays life the collection took an important place in his career as an artist as well as a young collector. Some art in the collection was bought in a gallery where he meet Lynette Yiadom-Boakye in Geneva during her solo exhibition at Faye Fleming & Laura Gowen Gallery, years later he had an important exchange with his paintings and seven Nicolas Party drawings with the collector Carmine Calore who intrduced him once around 2010 in Geneva. Today his collection growned inside ERIC ERISTON WINARTO PRIVATE COLLECTION GENEVA SWITZERLAND with works from Andy Warhol, Jonathan Meese, Camille Bombois, Elaine De Kooning, Billy Childish, Lucian Freud, Mr Doodle, Jörg Immendorff, Jeff Koons, Robert Indiana, Karl Lagerfeld, Nils Kreuger, Albert Anker, Charles Darwin, Erich Waske, Peter Blake, Karl Haendel, Luo Qing, Stefan Sandner, Dawolu Jabari Anderson, Gustave Buchet, Zhuang Hui, James Rosenquist, Larry Rivers, Théophile Alexandre Steinlen, Julius Hofmann, Elliott Hundley, Rudolf Bauer, Godwin Champs Namuyimba, Christopher Orr, Greg Parma Smith, Fortunato Depero, Erich Waske, Will McBride, Jack Lavender, Robert Longo, Raymond Pettibon, Dieter Roth, Martin Werthmann, James Brown, Peter Phillips, Bernard Saby, Edward Kienholz, Jakub Julian Ziólkowski and among others.
